WIDESPREAD PANIC ANNOUNCES NEW YEARS EVE AT PHILIPS ARENA

Widespread Panic has announced dates for their highly anticipated 2013 Fall Tour, as well as their New Year’s Eve return to Atlanta’s Philips Arena, where the band holds the all-time attendance record.

Widespread Panic’s fall tour begins in September and runs through November. The band will be returning to some of their favorite cities and venues, including their annual Halloween celebration in New Orleans that kicks off a three-night run at the city’s Lakefront Arena, where they also happen to hold the all-time attendance record. The seminal sextet’s tour stops will include performances in Memphis (two nights), Detroit, Milwaukee (three nights), Charleston, SC (two nights), Austin (two nights), Houston, Miami, Boston, New York City and more.

Widespread Panic is on the heels of their first summer tour since 2011, and the fans came out in droves packing venue after venue. The summer tour marked a Panic first when the band headlined four consecutive nights (one more than the usual three) at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, adding to their already staggering attendance record. The four shows brought their total number of consecutive sold out shows at the venue to an unprecedented 42, and counting.

For over ten years Widespread Panic has been dedicated to making their concerts “food drive events.” Since Summer 2008 the charity Feeding People Through Music has raised over $55,000 in monetary donations and over 7,000 pounds of food. Since each dollar donated is worth seven meals, these events have bought over 350,000 meals.

Ticket information will be released soon, check www.widepsreadpanic.com or www.philipsarena.com for more information.
