There are a bunch of great events taking place this summer. Here are a few that we know of by our friends at the Atlanta Ballet. The Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi:

 

“Too”: A Wabi Sabi Collaboration with Backside of the Tent Productions

Dates: Friday, August 14 – Saturday, August 15
Time: 8 p.m.
Location: Historic Rhodes Theatre – 1516 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30309
Event Details: Set within the walls of Midtown Atlanta’s historic Rhodes Theatre, Backside of the Tent Productions, in partnership with Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi, will present an hour-long, interactive performance that will merge dance, theater and circus in a unique, immersive experience. Ticket information: Tickets range from $15-$35 and can be purchased at http://www.backsideofthetent.com.

Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi presents “Whim” at the High Museum of Art

Date: Friday, August 21
Location: 1280 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
Time: Performances will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Event Details: As a part of the High Museum of Art’s summer/fall piazza installation, “Los Trompos,” Atlanta Ballet’s dancer-driven troupe Wabi Sabi will present four works by some of the most in-demand, emerging choreographers in the industry.
Ticket information: Performances are FREE and open to the public

Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi presents “Whim” at Serenbe
Date: Sunday, August 23
Time: 5:00pm
Location: Serenbe – Serenbe’s Open Air Function Room 10950 Hutcheson Ferry Rd., Chattahoochee Hills, GA 30268
Event Details: Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi will venture south of the city for its first engagement at Serenbe, the progressive community connected to nature on the edge of Atlanta. In Whim, The troupe will perform new works by first-time Wabi Sabi choreographer Robyn Mineko Williams along with premieres by Atlanta Ballet‘s Tara Lee, Heath Gill and Sarah Hillmer.
Ticket information: Performance tickets are $30 and will go on sale early May.

Atlanta Ballet Block Party – featuring Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi
Date: Saturday, August 29
Time: 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Atlanta Ballet’s Michael C. Carlos Dance Centre – 1695 Marietta Boulevard, NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
