Atlanta United returns to action Sunday afternoon to take on Eastern Conference opponent D.C. United at Bobby Dodd Stadium for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Atlanta will play at home for the first time since March 18 after going on a four-game road stretch in which the club posted a 1-1-2 record. Presented by Coca-Cola, the match is scheduled to kick-off at 3 p.m. EST on FS1.

Atlanta is coming off a 3-1 win at Real Salt Lake on April 22. Tito Villalba netted his fourth goal of the season to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the half. Yamil Asad added another just one minute into the second half when Miguel Almirón dispossessed RSL defender Chris Wingert and played Asad for his league-leading fourth assist of the year. RSL cut into Atlanta’s lead when Albert Rusnak scored from outside of the penalty area in the 69th minute to make it 2-1, but 18-year-old Brandon Vazquez scored in stoppage time to seal the three points after making his debut just minutes earlier.

D.C. United drew 2-2 against New England Revolution in its last outing. Three of the four goals came in the first half as Lee Nguyen gave the Revs a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute, but D.C. responded with two goals from Jared Jeffrey and Sebastian Le Toux to take the lead heading into the break.  Despite several chances, New England’s only breakthrough in the second half came by way of a Sean Franklin own goal as both teams split the points.
