Atlanta Ballet 2 is officially kicking off the holiday season with two free performances at the Shops of Buckhead on Saturday, November 18 and Saturday, November 25. Audiences will have the opportunity to witness the fresh excitement of the newest ensemble, comprised of 12 talented young dancers who train at the highest level of Atlanta Ballet’s Centre for Dance Education under the direction of Atlanta Ballet Artistic Director Gennadi Nedvigin and Dean Sharon Story. In addition to the program’s commitment to developing professional dancers, Atlanta Ballet 2 is focused on bringing dance to the Atlanta community. The pop-up performances at the Shops of Buckhead mark the first of many opportunities to share the future generation of talented dancers with the city of Atlanta through unique performance venues.
Atlanta Ballet 2 made their first splash earlier this Fall with the world premiere of Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast at Infinite Energy Centre in September. You’ll have one more chance to see this magical production when it returns to Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in February!
The event is free and open to the public, and the performance portion of the evening will take place at the Shops of Buckhead Center Plaza (between Dyptyque & Tod’s) at 6:30 p.m. Other festivities will include live musical performances and complimentary treats to really get you in the holiday spirit.
