First, I want to say this movie is emotionally awesome, it’s everything that I expected in a Star Wars movie plus more. With the movie, to me, it was more like The Empire Strikes Back when it came to Luke being trained by Yoda and becoming one with the force. Meanwhile, Han, Leia, and Chewie were on Cloud City being betrayed by his best friend Lando, because Lord Vader kept altering the deal. In The Last Jedi, it was kinda the same except this time Luke was training Rey even though she’s already strong with the force and she has some kind of mental link with Kylo. Finn made a new friend or love interest in Rose and go off to some type of casino city to find a hacker, who ends up betraying them kinda like how Lando betrayed Han.

Now before I go any further, some of you may have peeped a hilarious commentary by Jon J., who usually does these reviews. The video was made for fun and you non-Jedis might enjoy it (he’s not a Jedi either). If you want to check it out, click below.

The only gripe I had with the movie is that Snoke died too early. I was expecting him to last longer, at least till the third film. I kinda wanted to see more of his power, I mean we can tell how strong he is, but I wanted to see more of him. Captain Phasma was freaking awesome, she got more screen time AND… she put in some work. Finn caught some hands from her, but the way she went out was kinda lame… but I think she’ll be back. The cinematography was beautiful, from all the new creatures to the ships traveling in space to the landscape and the buildings, everything looked really nice. I really liked the ice creatures and the new little creatures that Chewbacca befriends called Porgs.

Chewie and the Porg Star Wars

The only reason why I’d say the movie was emotional was for Carrie Fisher’s death. She’s one of the iconic stars from the franchises and she’s been there since day one. Just seeing her on screen for the final time as Leia was just really sad so R.I.P Carrie. Other than that there are a lot of other emotional scenes: seeing master Yoda and the death of Luke. Other than that the movie was freaking awesome, I’d give it a 9.8.

May the force always be with you,
