Hello everyone. We know many of you are wondering about which events are canceled, rescheduled, suspended, delayed 30 days, etc. Here we’ll be compiling a list for you. We will make updates each time we receive news of an event’s cancelation/rescheduling.
Momocon 2020
Over the past weeks, many academic centers, health systems, and businesses have issued notices that do not allow for domestic travel and gatherings on a large scale. After much consideration in conjunction with our venue and city partners, MomoCon 2020 will be canceled, with MomoCon returning bigger and better than ever in 2021 (May 27-30th, 2021).
We would like to thank the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Georgia World Congress Center, and Eventsphere, our housing partner, for their extensive efforts over the past few weeks to attempt to find alternate dates, move existing business, and aid the efforts.
Hamilton at The Fox Theatre
Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta’s engagement of HAMILTON has been rescheduled and will now play the Fox Theatre August 4 – September 6, 2020.
If you are a ticket holder, there is nothing for you to do at this time. Current ticket holder seats remain valid and secure. Please hold on to your HAMILTON tickets as they will be honored for the new performance dates. Emails have gone out to ticket holders with information on which new performance replaces the canceled performance. Georgia Aquarium
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close the Georgia Aquarium to public guests. We continue to closely monitor this ever-evolving situation around COVID-19 with the ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of our guests, staff, volunteers, and animals.
Atlanta Movie Tours
To do our part in slowing the spread of the virus and comply with government regulations regarding gatherings of more than 10 people for at least 15 days, the incredibly difficult decision was made to take the necessary precaution and cease all Atlanta Movie Tours’ operations until April 20, 2020.
2020 Atlanta Film Festival
The Atlanta Film Festival + Creative Conference (ATLFF), presented by WarnerMedia, announced that the 44th annual event will now take place from Thursday, September 17 – Sunday, September 27, 2020. The festival was originally scheduled to take place in the spring but was postponed last week due to precautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miss Saigon at The Fox Theatre
“As we navigate the escalating and continually evolving COVID-19 situation, and with Governor Brian Kemp’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency in Georgia as of March 14, the Fox Theatre is temporarily closing effective immediately. We anticipate the closure will last at least two weeks, but Fox Theatre management will continue to evaluate based on the latest information from local and national public health officials. As a result, the upcoming performances of MISS SAIGON from March 17-22, 2020 will be postponed.
IF YOU ARE A TICKET HOLDER, PLEASE KEEP YOUR TICKETS AS WE WORK TO RESCHEDULE MISS SAIGON. We are navigating an unprecedented situation in real-time, and ask for your patience. We will be in touch as soon as possible with more information on the status of this event. All performances for the remaining shows in Broadway in Atlanta’s season are expected to go on as scheduled. Should anything change, any impacted ticket holders will be notified by email.”
State Farm Arena Events
Feed The Streetz Tour (POSTPONED): Originally rescheduled for July 17, 2020, has been postponed. All previously held tickets for the original show in April will be honored for the new show date. Patrons will be able to obtain refunds for 30 days after the original announcement date of April 28, 2020.
Birthday Bash 25 (RESCHEDULED): The previously postponed Birthday Bash ATL 25 show at State Farm Arena has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020. Tickets purchased for the original Saturday, June 20, 2020 show will be honored for the new date.
Gabriel Iglesias Fluffy Tour (RESCHEDULED): Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is currently on his Beyond The Fluffy World Tour 2020 Go Big Or Go Home, and was originally scheduled to bring the tour to State Farm Arena on Saturday, March 21 until it was recommended by local government authorities to postpone the show due to COVID-19. The rescheduled show is confirmed for State Farm Arena on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020. Tickets will be valid for the newly rescheduled date and will not need to be exchanged. Roger Waters Tour (POSTPONED): AEG Presents/Concerts West regret to announce the postponement of the Roger Waters’ upcoming tour of North America due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. Roger Waters had this to say, “The bad news is: I’ve had to postpone my tour until next year. Bummer, but if it saves one life, it’s worth it.
The good news is a federal Judge in Washington DC ruled on March 25, 2020, that Trump’s Dakota Access Pipeline Executive order was ILLEGAL and demands an E.I.S (Environmental Impact Statement). This is a huge victory for the STANDING ROCK SIOUX TRIBES. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! Love R.” AEG Presents/Concerts West advises ticket holders to hold onto their original tickets and await further information.
Millennium Tour (RESCHEDULED): “Due to unprecedented circumstances surrounding the coronavirus and a mandate by national and local officials, The Millennium Tour 2020 show at State Farm Arena has been rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020. There is nothing you need to do as your tickets and meet and greet passes will be valid for the new date.”
No Limit Reunion Tour (RESCHEDULED): “Dear Fans! Your safety is our #1 priority and we’re working with Ticketmaster to address all of your concerns about the rescheduling of the No Limit Reunion Tour originally scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2020, at State Farm Arena. Due to the current outbreak and ban on public gatherings, the New show date has been set for Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 7:30pm. All previously purchased tickets will be honored.”
WWE Monday Night Raw (CANCELED): “Monday Night Raw scheduled for Monday, March 30 will air live as regularly scheduled and emanate from WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida with only essential personnel in attendance. The event was originally scheduled at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA, which has been canceled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.”
College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championship (CANCELED): Given the recent developments regarding COVID-19 and after gathering information and recommendations from local and national health organizations, the 2020 State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, scheduled for April 2 at State Farm Arena, has been suspended. All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. The event’s organizer, Intersport, Inc. will continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19 and will assess potential options for event rescheduling.
NCAA DII and DIII Championships (CANCELED): NCAA cancels the remaining winter and spring championships. Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships.
THE V-103 Live Concert (POSTPONED): Due to ongoing health concerns around Coronavirus, we have decided to postpone V-103 LIVE until further notice. All tickets purchased for this show will be honored for the future date. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will share more information when it is available. If a refund is required, ticketholders can please contact the point of purchase.
Erykah Badu w/Common (RESCHEDULED): The previously postponed Erykah Badu with Special Guest Common show at State Farm Arena has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2020. Tickets purchased for the original Friday, March 13, 2020 show will be honored for the new date. For additional information on this show please visit statefarmarena.com/erykahbadu. If a refund is required, ticketholders can receive it at the point of purchase.
André Rieu (RESCHEDULED): “We’re very excited to announce that André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra’s postponed show at State Farm Arena, originally scheduled for March 15, 2020, has been rescheduled for Monday, March 8, 2021. All tickets will be honored for admittance on the date of the new show.”
If a refund is required, ticketholders can receive it at the point of purchase.
MLS
Major League Soccer has suspended match play for 30 days, effective immediately, as the league continues to assess the impact of COVID-19 with its medical task force and public health officials.
At the appropriate time, the league and clubs will communicate plans for the continuation of the 2020 season and update the status of league events.
Mexico National Team U.S. Tour
Due to the new travel restrictions in the United States because of the COVID-19 outbreak, Soccer United Marketing in coordination with the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) has announced that the Mexican National Team’s MEXTOUR March matches have been canceled.
Mexico had two scheduled games, one in Charlotte, N.C. on March 26 at Bank of America Stadium against the Czech Republic and another in Arlington, Texas on March 29 at AT&T Stadium against Greece. The MEXTOUR Live festival and concert scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Dallas City Hall Plaza, with musical group Intocable has also been called off.
Tickets for these events that were purchased on Ticketmaster and Seatgeek will be automatically refunded. The tickets that were purchased at local shops and other points of sale will be reimbursed at the point of purchase.
The match against Colombia in Denver scheduled for May 30 was recently canceled.
CONCACAF
Given the constantly evolving public health situation, and global concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the Concacaf Council convened yesterday via a conference call.
During the meeting, the decision was made to suspend all upcoming Concacaf competitions scheduled to take place over the next 30 days.
The Concacaf Council took these decisions with the welfare of everyone involved in mind, and in light of developing travel restrictions and public health guidance.
The following competitions have been suspended with immediate effect:
- 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League
- 2020 Concacaf Men’s Olympic Qualifiers
- First Round of the Concacaf 2021 Gold Cup Qualifiers (due to be played in the March 2020 FIFA Window)
- 2020 Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield
Concacaf is committed to working with key stakeholders to consider options on how and when to reconvene these competitions and any new decision will be communicated in due course.
Allie X at The Masquerade (April 11)
Like so many other musicians, I’m very sad to announce that I am postponing my upcoming North American Tour. I’m truly so disappointed. I’ve been so eager to get out on the road and sing these songs for you. But, given the current state of affairs surrounding COVID-19, I feel it is the right decision for the health and well being of all. Please wait for me. I am working on rescheduling these dates and am looking forward to rejoicing, crying, dancing, screaming and laughing with you. You all mean so much to me. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Remained of Season Canceled)
The ASO had previously canceled performances through May 11, including a planned trip to Carnegie Hall to perform as part of that institution’s “Beethoven at 250” celebrations. Concerts canceled today include Mahler’s Fourth Symphony (May 14 and 16), the ASO conducting debut of violinist-conductor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider (May 28 and 30), and the first full performance of Wagner’s epochal opera Tristan und Isolde in Atlanta, to have been performed in festival format over three nights on June 11, 13 and 14. The ASO staff and Board continues to monitor the situation and provide further updates as information becomes available.

- Exchange your ticket(s) to an upcoming performance. We are happy to exchange your ticket(s) for one of the many upcoming Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performances, as well as select Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE concerts of comparable value, based on availability.
- Receive a credit on your ASO account. We’ll put the funds on your account to use toward another performance this season or next, based on availability. These funds can be used toward single ticket or subscription purchases, as well as select Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE concerts, based on availability.
- Donate your ticket. As a non-profit arts organization, the ASO relies on the audience we serve. By donating your tickets in lieu of a refund, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire and connect our community. Please consider donating your ticket(s) back to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and receive a donation receipt by emailing asosubscriptions@atlantasymphony.org.
