Ecuador, one of South America’s classic squads, recently reached the quarterfinals of the 2021 CONMEBOL Copa America.  Mexico and Ecuador have faced each other 24 times, with Mexico winning 16, drawing five and losing three.  In those games, Mexico has outscored Ecuador 42-23.  The two teams last met on September 6, 2019, in a MexTour match at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium won by Mexico 3-2.

As part of the annual Mexican National Team tour, Mexico has played four matches thus far in 2021, averaging nearly 50,000 fans across Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, and Los Angeles.
