Music Monday: Luno, Idd Aziz & Kreative Nativez, Kungs, Los Saints, and FAYBL

Luno returns to the release radar with his first sonic offering of 2022, ‘I’ll Look After You’, featuring the vocal talent of Massachusetts-based singer/songwriter Haux. The burgeoning musician’s latest serves as a sophomore lead single, effortlessly building anticipation for the upcoming ‘Planet Luno’ EP due to drop later this spring.

One of the top Afro House releases of the season, ‘Elementary’ is an exuberant collaboration between legendary Kenyan vocalist Idd Aziz and Zambian producer duo Kreative Nativez. Infusing the track with the spirit and rhythms of their homeland (including subtle samples of a local elementary school), Kreative Nativez creates a mesmerizing background for Aziz’s soaring vocals.

In France, and around the world, 25-year-old Valentin Brunel AKA Kungs has become the new face of French electronic music due to his world-renowned smash “This Girl” (vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners) which has garnered 6.5 billion streams and reached 13x Diamond status. By 2016, he had become the most Shazamed French artist in the world.

Enci Records (The Joy Formidable, Fences) is pleased to announce the signing of Chula Vista trio Los Saints—comprised of Angel Mariscal, Emiliano Garcia, and Gianluca Exposito.

The band (whose members are all first-generation Mexican-Americans) has released its first official studio recording and first single on the label, “Fouund You Somewhere.”

Progressive house/big-room track, “Island”, from US-based startup duo FAYBL is here. They started their adventure back in 2020 with a self-released single “Find Myself,” and have been working on their craft ever since. “Island” is their 7th release ever and a follow-up to “Feel Your Heart” released in 2021 on Proximity. They’ve also unlocked another achievement last year and performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre opening for Illenium.
