Hey everyone! We have a lot to update you on as we roll into the weekend!

We just got back from seeing “Silver Linings Playbook” directed by David O. Russell. This film was a nice blend of romance, comedy, and drama with a perfectly casted lineup. Former teacher Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) has a stint in a mental institution (you see why in the movie). He’s lost his job, wife, and house and ends up moving in with his parents Dolores Solitano (Jacki Weaver) and Pat Solitano Sr. (Robert De Niro).

As Pat tries to get his life back together we discover his obsession with his wife and determination to mend what has been torn. As time goes on he finds an unexpected companion in Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) and finds she too has her own set of problems. As their friendship begins to take shape she agrees to help him communicate with his wife as long as he does something for her.

On this journey we meet some of Pat’s friends such as Danny (Chris Tucker), Ronnie (John Ortiz) and his wife Veronica (Julia Stiles). The interesting part about the movie is everyone’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles. Pat Sr. being the most avid fan has been banned from the stadium for life for fighting.

We’re happy to bring you another quality film from The Weinstein Company (The Master, Lawless, Silver Linings Playbook, The Intouchables, Killing Them Softly) and can confidently recommend this to you. I’d give the movie an 8 out of 10. Be sure to pay attention to every part of their conversations because a lot of jokes are subtle one-liners that you might miss if you’re laughing too hard.
