Bigger and better than ever before, the 34th annual Great Miller Lite Chili and BBQ Cook-Off will make its way to a new venue this year, the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Ga. on Saturday, October 5, 2013.  In conjunction with a new name and the move to a larger home, amateur pit masters now have the opportunity to compete for the best barbecue chicken and ribs at the annual event that attracts approximately 15,000 attendees every year looking for a day filled with mouth-watering chili, live music, and games and activities for all ages. The Great Miller Lite Chili and BBQ Cook-Off will donate 100% of the proceeds from the 34th annual event to Camp Twin Lakes and has raised approximately $500,000 over the past seven years for this network of children’s camps that provide life-changing experiences to thousands of Georgia children with serious illnesses, disabilities and challenges.

Open year round, the Georgia International Horse Park is host to a remarkable variety of special events, including horse shows, mountain bike races, festivals, concerts, rodeos, outdoor sporting events and now the annual Great Miller Lite Chili and Barbecue Cook-Off. Located just 28 miles east of Atlanta, the spacious will allow for the addition of several exciting elements that will enhance the festival experience including on-site permanent restroom facilities, convenient parking, and easier access to the event.  The move also marks the first time that barbecue fanatics can flaunt their skills and join the ranks of more than 300 teams from across the country that will battle it out for bragging rights for the best chili, Brunswick stew and cornbread.  As always, attendees are invited to sample all that the competitors have to offer, take advantage of a variety of activities like the mullet flop and jalapeno eating contest – all while enjoying live music from some of the nation’s best tribute bands.

Tickets will be available for $10 for adults; children 12 and under get in for free. Tickets can only be purchased the day of the event on site and the event will not sell out. Additional information about the 34th annual Great Miller Lite Chili and BBQ Cook-Off will be available at a future date. For more information, visit www.theatlantachilicookoff.com.
