***update 2/9/15*** Due to illness, the Katt Williams show scheduled for Sunday, February 8th at Philips Arena has been rescheduled. The new date is Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at 7:00pm. Ticket holders for the Sunday, February 8th scheduled performance may use their original ticket for entry to the March 1st rescheduled date. Chris Smith, Katt’s agent at ICM says, “Katt was bitten by a recluse spider, and was given medication by his doctor. He suffered from an adverse reaction to the medication and unfortunately was unable to go on stage last night in Atlanta.”
Katt Williams would also like to invite patrons from his Saturday, February 7th show at the Philips Arena in Atlanta to attend the rescheduled show on March 1st as his guest. Ticket holders who attended the Saturday, February 7th performance may exchange their ticket for the best available seating location for the March 1st performance at the Philips Arena Box Office. Original ticket must be presented to complete the exchange, and new tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.******
When Williams hit the stage the Arena was laughing non stop. During the show, Williams revealed that he has been under the weather with a series of illnesses but regardless, he would not want to disappoint his fans and the city of Atlanta. Throughout the show, you could see that Katt was less than 100% but still doing his best to keep everyone enjoying the night. The jokes were non stop along with great interactions with a vocal Philips Arena audience that left everyone, including me cracking up.
After a short water break on stage, it was clear that Katt Williams could not continue. For all who attended, the night was still a success and it was nice to see how Katt’s fans were understanding and more concerned about his health. After all, we are all human and we all have days where we are not well. Katt Williams is an experienced professional and well-seasoned comedian, so we all pray that he recovers back to great health to continue his tour to put smiles/laughs on his fan’s faces.
