Terminal West and The Outer Space Project are joining forces to bring the Big Bang Block Party to King Plow Arts Center on Saturday, June 27. Guests are invited to exit the ordinary and explore the creative unknown as public art, live music, design and action sports meld into one collective event featuring 15+ live visual artists, a pop-up art gallery, a Secret Walls illustration battle, live skate demos and live music from Lettuce, Washed Out (DJ), Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, Mad Violinist, Symphony Crack and more.

 

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the block party will continue into the night. The event will be held inside and out front of Terminal West and adjoining restaurant, Stationside. Guests can expect the following entertainment sessions:

 

Listen: Enjoy live music sets from Lettuce, Washed Out [DJ], HXV, Mad Violinist and Symphony Crack.

 

See: Experience live visual art from artists HOXXOH, Taylor White, Ricky Watts, Dasic Fernandez, Sharktoof, Peter Ferrari, Saninthna, Tommy Bronx, Wolfdog, Catlanta, Matt Ketchum, Dr. Dax, Greg Mike, Trey Moseley, Brandon Sadler and more. Additionally, Atlanta’s own Secret Walls artists will be competing in a live illustration battle.

 

Dine: Dine at Stationside, Terminal West’s adjoining restaurant. Menu offerings include the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich with Simply Seoul Kimchi, Gochujang Mayo, picked carrot and daikon, and Buffalo Garlic Parmesan Chips with garlic confit, parmesan powder.

 

Create: Stationside will double as “Drink & Doodle Diner,” a space where guests can sip on drinks while creating their own art.

 

Play: Head outdoors for live skate demos from Ambush and Hazard County skate teams as they demonstrate their technique on a 5 ft. by 20 ft. half-pipe sponsored by Red Bull.
