The first true contest of elegance, Concours d’Elegance, in a major United States metropolitan area is coming to Atlanta. On Oct. 8-9, 2016, millions of dollars worth of vintage vehicles will be displayed at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort during The Atlanta Concours d’Elegance.
Event Chairman Harry Krix, who earned his concours credentials working under Bill Warner, founder of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, is excited to bring the elegance the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Amelia Island event to the Atlanta metro area saying, “One of the finest collections of classic automobiles that has ever been assembled in Georgia will be on display. Our theme for the show is ‘Shifting through Time,’ a celebration of the innovative designs that are the journey of the automobile.”
On Saturday, Oct. 8, the greens of the Chateau Elan Golf Club will welcome ticket-holders to feast their eyes on over 300 unique, drivable cars from local car clubs, museums and individuals from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Atlanta Concours d’Elegance will present a collection of over 200 elegant vehicles in numerous classes, from the Brass Era to imported early 20th Century sports cars to vintage competition cars to unrestored barn finds.
On both dates, event goers are welcome to browse the Merchant Walkway where a variety of automotive industry and lifestyle vendors will sell their products, visit sponsor and exhibitor tents and get behind the wheel of modern luxury vehicles by Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Maserati and Tesla among others. Each event day, tech clinics and seminars will highlight various aspects of vehicle ownership, heritage and restoration.
Throughout the weekend Chateau Elan’s winery will be open for tours and the spa welcome guests for indulgent treatments.
Tickets for the event are on sale now. Early bird pricing is now in effect though prices are subject to rise closer to the date of the event. Pricing is as follows:
• General Admission (Saturday): $35
• Car Entrant (Saturday): $50 (includes car and driver)
• General Admission (Sunday): Early Bird – $60; Regularly $75
• VIP Admission (Sunday): Early Bird – $125; Regularly $150
• Weekend General Admission Combination Ticket: $100
• VIP Weekend Admission: $175
