The tag team duo of lucrative beatmaker Jahlil Beats and fellow Philly native Bok Nero continues their recent takeover via their debut EP Lorde of Legions, premiered via HotNewHipHop. After being discovered and developed by Jahlil, Lorde of Legions represents Bok Nero’s official introduction to the game. Jahlil’s signature dark piano chords are at the forefront of “Jefe Papi” and “Hop Out Da Phantom,” with Bok Nero delivering his ferocious flow on each and every bar. While some sit dormant on their stoop, Bok fiercely portrays the lavish lifestyle ahead of him in “Stoop Kid” and how he’ll have no difficulty getting there in the blazing trap / hip-hop crossover “No Problems.” With the release of Lorde of Legions, the come-up is officially over – Bok Nero has arrived.

2016 has been a whirlwind for the surging lyricist. Ahead of the May premiere of “Nero Nero” on Dim Mak’s New Noise imprint, HipHopDX labeled him “the hip hop and EDM hybrid you should know.” He followed by dropping the fiery street anthem “Hop Out Da Phantom,” whose premiere was sponsored by 1800 Tequila and has since been streamed an impressive 819,000+ times on Soundcloud. He also performed at Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary SXSW showcase alongside Lil Uzi Vert, WatchTheDuck, R3LL, and Steve Aoki, where his unique electronic / hip hop fusion was on full display. His unprecedented sound and eccentric, high-energy lyrical flow is manifested in Lorde of Legions, complimented by the celebrated production techniques of Jahlil Beats.

While he is perhaps best known for his Platinum viral record “Hot N****” with Bobby Shmurda, Jahlil Beats is no one-trick pony. One of the most prolific hip hop producers on the planet, he has manufactured hits for Drake, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Diddy, Chris Brown, Lloyd Banks, Fabolous, T.I. and many more. His productions were also instrumental to the launch of famed rapper Meek Mill’s career, with “Amen,” Ima Boss,” and “Monster” all cracking the top 20 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart. A prominent figure on and off the field, Jahlil also runs his own record label Tandem Music, which linked up with Dim Mak to deliver this groundbreaking EP.
