Today we wanted to share some family-focused events at The Rock Ranch. The Rock Ranch is a beautiful 1,500-acre working cattle ranch located about an hour south of Atlanta in Upson County. It’s a place where families, school groups, and even businesses can come to enjoy “agritourism.” The Rock Ranch was founded by the late S. Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A and is dedicated to “Growing Healthy Families!”

A day at The Rock Ranch has everything from train rides, zip lines, jumping pillows, and a carousel, to cane pole fishing, pedal boats, and pony rides. Here’s a list of events taking place through October:

  • Oct. 7 – Georgia’s Official Day of the Cowboy – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. – featuring a spectacular fireworks show, gunfight reenactments, wild west shows, trick whip and roping shows, live bluegrass music, cowboy/cowgirl costume contests with cash prizes, and more
