Wellness Series: Yoga
Every Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Start the week off stress-free at an outdoor yoga class presented by Kaiser Permanente. As part of the Wellness Series at The Battery Atlanta, this free event is open to all ages to relax and unwind on the Plaza Green. Participants are required to bring a mat and encouraged to bring water.
Mizuno Fun Run
Thursday, September 12 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Runners and walkers can meet at the Mizuno Experience Center for a 2.5 to 5-mile route around The Battery Atlanta. Participants can cool down, drink up and grab a bite to eat at Terrapin Taproom following the run and receive 10% off.
Family Series: Tennis on the Turf
Tuesday, September 24 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Families are invited to spend a morning on the court. Parents and children can choose from 30-minute tennis lessons to free matches on the Plaza Green. Participants can sign-up for the free lessons online through the U.S. Tennis Association but registration is not required to attend. Walk-ups are welcome!
Farmers Market
Thursday, September 26 from 4 – 7 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to stroll through the Farmers Market presented by United Healthcare. Visitors can shop a variety of local fruits, leafy greens, honey and more at the Plaza Green. There will be live music, games, crafts and a petting zoo.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Saturday, September 28 from 8 a.m. – noon
Organized by The Alzheimer’s Association, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. The Atlanta community is welcome to walk, donate and participate in efforts to enhance Alzheimer’s care, support and advance critical research. Walk registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a ceremony and walk at 9 a.m.
