Atlanta United returns to action Sunday as it hosts Philadelphia Union at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match, presented by American Family Insurance, is set to kick-off at 2 p.m. ET and will be nationally broadcast on ESPN.

  • Atlanta owns an all-time record of 4-2-3 against Philadelphia in all competitions, 3-1-1 at home and 1-1-2 on the road in the series. This is the third meeting between the teams this season after Philadelphia eliminated Atlanta from the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League on May 4. Atlanta will travel to Philadelphia for the fourth meeting on Sept. 25 (3:30 p.m., Univision).
  • Atlanta is coming off a 2-2 draw against Nashville SC before the international break on May 29. Marcelino Moreno scored his team-leading third goal of the season and Erik López scored the first goal of his Atlanta career.
  • Atlanta continues to lead MLS in possession entering the weekend’s matches at 60.85 % and ranks third in team dribble success rate at 58.33 %.
  • Atlanta will be without Josef Martinez and Ronald Hernandez, both of whom are representing Venezuela at the Copa America tournament in Brazil.
