Atlanta United returns to action Saturday when it travels to face New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. The match, is set to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass while fans can also tune-in to radio calls on 92.9 The Game and La Mejor. 

Atlanta United’s Unified Team will play its second match of the season as it takes on New York Red Bulls Unified Team at 4 p.m. at Red Bull Arena. The Unified program is a league-wide initiative uniting individuals with intellectual disabilities (Special Olympics athletes) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (Unified partners) as members of one team. The program is part of MLS Works, Major League Soccer’s community outreach program, in partnership with Special Olympics North America (SONA). In its first match this season, Atlanta United Unified played Charlotte FC Unified to a scoreless draw May 13 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. 

MLS Season Pass features every match of the regular season and Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with consistent match times and no blackouts. The service also features MLS Countdown, the live pre-game show before every match, live halftime reports, MLS 360 — a fast-moving whip-around show that will provide live look-ins and analysis from all the key moments from every match, and MLS Wrap-up, the live post-game show. All matches feature commentary in English or Spanish, while matches involving Canadian teams will also have French commentary. Fans in the U.S. and Canada also have the option to select their home team’s radio for broadcast audio on the Apple TV app where available. 

  • Atlanta holds a 1-8-4 all-time record against New York Red Bulls in MLS regular season play: 1-4-2 at home, 0-3-2 on the road and 0-1-0 at a neutral site. This will be the second meeting between the teams in 2023 as Atlanta earned a 1-0 win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on April 1.
  • Atlanta is currently riding a seven-match unbeaten run and coming off a 2-2 draw against New York City FC Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Tyler Wolff scored his fourth goal of the season and Nick Firmino scored in his MLS debut. 
  • Gonzalo Pineda started four Homegrown players Wednesday and six appeared in the match, both of which are club records. Atlanta Homegrown players Caleb Wiley, Machop Chol and Wolff have scored a combined eight goals this season. During the club’s first six MLS seasons, Homegrowns had scored a total of six goals. 
  • Atlanta leads MLS with 37 goals scored entering this weekend. Giorgos Giakoumakis leads the attack with 10 goals, which is tied for second in the MLS Golden Boot race, and ranks first in the league in goals per 90 minutes (min. 500 minutes). Thiago Almada has recorded the second-most goal contributions (seven goals, nine assists) and most assists in MLS despite playing only 16 matches.
  • Brooks Lennon recorded his seventh assist of the season Wednesday, matching his single season career high. Almada and Lennon’s combined total of 16 assists is the most of any two teammates.
  • New York heads into Matchday 20 in 13th place in the Eastern Conference and coming off a 2-2 draw at home against Charlotte FC on June 21. Red Bulls have conceded a total of 18 goals in 18 matches this season, the third-fewest in the Eastern Conference.
