Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ – Part 1 in Concert

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to Atlanta Symphony Hall with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ – Part 1 in Concert, the second to last film in the Harry Potter series. On February 7, 8, and 9, Justin Freer will conduct the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in performing Alexandre Desplat’s incredible score live from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ – Part 1 while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and CineConcerts created the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, the only official global concert tour celebrating the Harry Potter films. Since the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone in Concert in 2016, more than 3 million fans have enjoyed this magical experience from The Wizarding World, which is scheduled to include over 2,973 performances across more than 48 countries worldwide through 2025.

Harry, Ron and Hermione set out to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s power – the Horcruxes. On their own and on the run, the three must rely on one another more than ever…but Dark Forces threaten to tear them apart.

Winner of the International Film Music Critics Award (IFMCA), World Soundtrack Award, and Satellite Award for Best Orig. Score, Academy-Award winning composer Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Philomena) created a subtle yet full-flavored score, transporting audiences into the adventures of Harry and his friends as the long-feared wizarding war begins!

Justin Freer, President of CineConcerts and Producer/Conductor of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series explains, “The Harry Potter film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomenon that continues to delight millions of fans around the world. It is with great pleasure that we bring fans for the first time ever an opportunity to experience the award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. This is truly an unforgettable event.”

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will present Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert featuring Klaus Badelt & Hans Zimmer’s score performed live to the film. The concert will be led by Thiago Tiberio.

Oscar® and Grammy Award®-winning composer Hans Zimmer and his production team have scored each “Pirates of the Caribbean” adventure for the franchise.  The original score raised the bar for thematic complexity with its orchestral swashbuckling flavor accentuated by the use of horns for melody.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney Parks and is the first installment of the film series.  Set in the 18th century, Captain Jack Sparrow is roguish yet charming, as he sails the Caribbean on his ship the Black Pearl. But Jack’s idyllic life capsizes when his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa, steals Jack’s ship and later attacks the town of Port Royal, kidnapping the Governor’s beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Swann. In a gallant attempt to rescue her and recapture the Black Pearl, Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Will Turner, joins forces with Jack. Unbeknownst to Will, whose father once served with the crew of the Black Pearl, there is a curse that has doomed Barbossa and his men to live forever as the undead.

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert is presented by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Thiago Tiberio. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl will be performed at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Friday, March 14 at 7:30pm and Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 3:00pm.  For tickets and further information, visit aso.org/movies or ticketmaster.com.
