Today, Max Richter announced a run of North American tour dates for summer 2026, with a stop in Atlanta. The Oscar-nominated composer is bringing his expansive live set to Atlanta Symphony Hall on June 12, 2026. Following a period of sustained creative milestones for Richter, including the recent release of his original soundtrack for Chloé Zhao’s feature film Hamnet, the North American tour will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of his landmark project SLEEP. Widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of his generation, Richter is renowned for his ability to seamlessly merge classical orchestration with contemporary electronic elements. His work has resonated deeply with audiences worldwide, with his catalogue amassing over three billion streams to date.
Beyond his solo output, Richter is a prolific collaborator whose work spans fashion, dance, film, and television. His credits include scoring Dior shows for Kim Jones, composing ballets choreographed by Wayne McGregor, and creating soundtracks for acclaimed directors including Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese and Ari Folman.
Richter is the co-founder of Studio Richter Mahr alongside his partner, visual artist Yulia Mahr. Located in the Oxfordshire countryside, the multimedia studio is housed within a former farmhouse powered by cutting-edge solar and heat-pump technology.
