After an evening of celebration and show-stopping performances led by acclaimed actor, singer, and producer Brandon Victor Dixon, Broadway at The National has unveiled its highly anticipated 2026-2027 season – a dynamic lineup packed with bold new voices, blockbuster favorites, and must-see premieres. From fall 2026 through summer 2027, the historic National Theatre will once again serve as D.C.’s home for Broadway’s most exciting touring productions.

Declared “one of the best comedies in years” by The New York Times, Oh, Mary! is about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Unrequited yearning, alcoholism, and suppressed desires abound in this 80-minute one-act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).
