The FIFA World Cup 2026™is almost here! The biggest tournament in the world takes place from June 11, 2026, to July 19, 2026, with eight matches held at Atlanta Stadium. Easily accessible by MARTA connecting Decatur to downtown, Decatur will join greater Atlanta to celebrate the arrival of world-class soccer football to Atlanta.
Decatur WatchFest ‘26 will offer 34 days of free music, games, activities, and food and beverages on and around the newly renovated Decatur Square as fans watch the world’s top football matches. “The Stews” and “DJ EU” highlight a new list of talented musical acts announced today as Decatur WatchFest ‘26 adds to its concert schedule during FIFA World Cup 2026™. All 14 of these additional concerts are free, no tickets required, and will be held on the Decatur Square. And there is more to come!
These performances will complement the three ticket-required concerts with Big Boi, The War And Treaty, and Indigo Girls.

The Stews – After releasing their debut album “What Was” in April of 2022, The Stews have been a non-stop touring machine, playing packed-out shows across the country. With sellout crowds across the country, they’ve graduated from their former “college band” label. A Stews concert is a perfect blend of upbeat, sing-along indie tunes and downright headbanging hard rock.
DJ EU – Atlanta’s DJ EU is a highly sought-after DJ with a residency at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Atlanta United, bookings at festivals around the world, clubs around Atlanta, and across the South. His eclectic method of mixing genres from electronic to hip hop to Latin music has given him major recognition, including being voted “Atlanta’s Best DJ” by Jezebel magazine.
In addition to the nine newly announced acts, the Decatur WatchFest ‘26 concert series includes three ticketed events featuring Big Boi on June 11, with The War And Treaty on June 25, and Decatur’s own Indigo Girls closing out the City’s 34 days of World Cup festivities on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Remember, these three concerts require tickets.

● Getting There: Organizers recommend taking MARTA (direct to the Decatur station) or rideshare services if possible. Decatur also has more than 10,000 parking spaces available daily.

● Buffalo – Local musicians from Avondale, Decatur, and Sandy Springs, known for their high-energy live shows. Buffalo blends the grit of Southern rock with the freewheeling spirit of The Grateful Dead.
● The Dammages – A veteran rock band blending “2 cups good time, a shake of country, a pinch of blues—all smothered in Rock n’ Roll.”
● DJ EU – Atlanta’s DJ EU is a huge in-demand DJ talent. His eclectic method of mixing genres from electronic to hip hop to Latin music has given him major recognition.
● GClef and The Playlist – From Motown to Maroon 5, from Hootie to Hip-Hop, this band does it all with superior sound, lush harmonies, and an amazing repertoire.
● Her Majesty’s Request – Known for high-energy, crowd-pleasing performances of British rock from the British Invasion through Brit Pop, spanning Bowie and the Beatles to the Kinks, the Clash, Supergrass, Squeeze, and the Stones.
● John Boy & Surround Sound – This 13-person band featuring two tubas has been compared to Cab Calloway, Lil Jon, and Earth, Wind, & Fire – combined!
● La Choloteca featuring La Superiorrr – What began as a house party has grown into a cultural engine, fusing perreo, cumbia, hip-hop, and diasporic sounds into dance spaces rooted in freedom and joy. This legendary Latinx DJ powers through the final weekend of Pride.
● LJB – Powered by singer/songwriter compositions which unfold into emotional, atmospheric improvisational jam passages live.
● Polly Holliday – Polly Holliday is a Decatur, Georgia-based quintet known for their unique brand of joy-fueled rock and roll and energetic live shows.
● The Reebs – A Decatur-based cover band that plays classic rock and alternative tunes from the 70s to now.
● Rouzbeh – This talented flamenco guitarist plays a mix of popular music standards, flamenco, and original compositions.
● The Stews – Bringing an upbeat vibe to indie and hard rock sounds, The Stews sing a blend of upbeat, singalong, indie tunes and downright headbanging hard rock.
● Vox Britannia – A high-energy tribute to the golden era of British rock ‘n roll, spanning the 1960s through the 1990s.
● Wolves, Lower – A tribute band that delivers a high-energy exploration of songs spanning the entire R.E.M. catalog.
