On Saturday, September 5, Colombia’s Atletico Nacional and America de Cali take to the pitch at Inter Miami CF Stadium at 7:30 pm (ET) in what will be an electrifying matchup between South American rivals. These two teams have been trading wins and losses for nearly 80 years with Atletico Nacional holding a slight edge over America de Cali. So far this year, their head-to-head match up is a tie, with each team claiming one victory.
The first and only Clasico Colombiano to be played in the United States previously was at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey in July of 2018 which saw Atletico Nacional score a 2-0 victory over their opponent.
America de Cali currently sits in first place in league play, while Atletico Nacional ranks fourth. Both teams saw action this week, as Atletico Nacional scored a 2-1 win against Deportivo Cali and America de Cali saw their match again Barranquilla end in a hard fought 1-1 draw.
Tickets for the match can be purchased HERE. In a show of solidarity with those affected by the recent earthquake in Colombia, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to support relief and recovery efforts in the affected communities. The contribution will help provide assistance to individuals and families impacted by the disaster, reinforcing the power of football to bring people together and support communities in times of need.
