Major League Volleyball (MLV) has announced its 2027 regular-season schedule, marking the start of its fourth season with an expanded field of 12 teams across the United States. The 2027 regular season will begin on Thursday, Jan. 7, and run through Saturday, April 24. The schedule features a league-record 156 matches across 75 match dates, bringing together MLV’s largest lineup yet for a season of elite competition.
Each team will compete in 26 regular-season matches, including 13 at home and 13 on the road. The schedule features the first two-conference format in MLV history, with six teams in the Eastern Conference and six in the Western Conference. The 26-match format ensures that every team faces all 11 league opponents at least twice during the regular season, once at home and once on the road. Four additional matchups against conference opponents will complete the schedule.
DC Flight will open its inaugural Major League Volleyball season Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Columbus Fury. Six days later, the District’s first professional volleyball team plays its home opener Friday, Jan. 15, against the Vegas Thrill at The Anthem at The Wharf, where the court sits directly on the concert floor.
DC Flight plays four consecutive home matches in 12 days, Feb. 3 to 14. The Orlando Valkyries, NorCal Rumble, Indy Ignite and Dallas Pulse all visit The Anthem. Two matches coincide with the Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic, one of the biggest and most competitive youth volleyball tournaments, hosting nearly 14,000 youth athletes annually at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
