The Center for Civil and Human Rights

The Center for Civil and Human Rights is the city’s first civil rights museum and one of the nation’s only global human rights museums. Serving as a connector between past and present, The Center’s powerful stories of individuals who shaped the American Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s and the modern human rights movement invite visitors to reflect on how they can create a better tomorrow.  Consistent with The Center’s mission to empower people to take the protection of every human’s rights personally, its public opening celebration honored the past and looked toward the future.   We have heard FAR too many people say “what’s that?” when we ask people if they’ve experienced Winter Wonderland yet. Do you see this?! It’s like a Holiday Carnival except it’s at night (it opens at 5pm). They have taken Turner Field and turned it into an international entertainment metropolis! The only place you’ll be able to see a glowing Sphynx, White House, and Eiffel Tower in one place. Winter Wonderland has graced us with their presence for a few weeks now and will be here through the new year. Atlanta Movie Tours

Hey everyone- This past weekend we went on the “Big Southern Hollywood” tour presented by Atlanta Movie Tours! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we think you should check it out! Add them to the growing list of new attractions popping up in Atlanta along with the city’s massive growth and popularity. We don’t want to show too many pictures because it kinda gives away the excitement of the sites you visit. But while in transit you get to take in so much around you that you never knew was there. I’m downtown or in midtown almost everyday and I saw … Continue reading Atlanta Movie Tours

Titanic Exhibit

Hello everyone- We just got back from the Titanic Exhibit down at Atlantic Station? Can you say amazing? Funny thing about our weather is when “rain” is predicted. It was sunny all day, the entire day. Go inside the exhibit, finish the exhibit, open the door, and it’s pouring outside. But that downpour didn’t stop anyone at Atlantic Station from the BB&T Open festivities or joining me upstairs in the Exhibition Center! 🙂 When you first enter the exhibit you’re greeted by a host. He welcomes you and gives you a boarding pass. The cool thing about this is you … Continue reading Titanic Exhibit
