Hey everybody –

On October 5th we went to see Taken 2 and please believe it followed in the path of the first one. Wit, action, cunning, and stealth were overflowing in this sequel and did not disappoint. Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is adjusting to life after the initial debacle in the first movie. His ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) and his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) surprise him when they show up to Istanbul to get away from problems plaguing Lenore and her new husband. But the surprise trip takes a turn when Murad Krasniqi (Rade Serbedzija) returns (leader of the group of black market smugglers who kidnapped Bryan’s daughter in the first film) and kidnaps Bryan and Lenore.

One thing I am a fan of is the use of intelligence to battle the enemy. Liam Neeson uses just that during so many parts of this movie (before getting kidnapped, during, after, whilst imprisoned, etc) that event he audience took notice and applauded during at least 3 moments of pure genius shown by Bryan.  From things like finding a geographical location using time or by gauging distance using sound, Bryan seemed more like Macgyver in this amazing sequel (if any of you dare ask us who Macgyver is you better Google it for the betterment of YOU! lol)

There’s an overwhelming lineup of great movies set to be released this fall and we’ll bring you as many as possible. We also want to remind you that we’ll continue to include any great films that may slide under the radar (documentaries, shorts, good films with little publicity, etc). Enjoy your Sunday!
