Australian Open Grand Slam Tennis Wildcard Tournament in Atlanta DEC 14-16
Atlanta continues to host premiere tennis events and next weekend will also provide yet another stellar event. The United States Tennis Association (USTA), KIA Motors, and Life Time Fitness present the 2012 Australian Open Wildcard Playoff tournament Dec. 14-16. The location for the tournament is the prestigious Life Time Athletic and Tennis in Norcross GA.
At this event you will, “See the future of American Tennis” as 8 men and 8 women compete to win the tournament. The winners will gain direct entry into the 2013 Australian Open that takes place January 14-27 in Melbourne, Australia joining defending Champions Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka.
The list of players in the tournament include 2011 US Open Mixed Doubles Champion Jack Sock and last years wildcard tournament winner Madison Keys. Other invited players include Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Steve Johnson, Irina Falconi, Dennis Kudla, Mallory Burdette and Christian Harrison.
The tournament will also feature a Friday Night Exhibition with World #1 Doubles team the Bryan Brothers – Mike and Bob taking on some of the best players here in the state in the Battle of Georgia event.
