Cocktail Reception, Fashion Show, Live Auction, and an After-Party on Monday, August 26, 2013

Arbiter of style, Jeffrey Kalinsky, creator of two namesake boutiques in Atlanta and Manhattan and the founder of Jeffrey Fashion Cares, is once again teaming up with Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy, Louise Sams and newcomer Ken Britt, to host Atlanta’s premier social charity event. The official kick-off to Atlanta’s fall social season, Jeffrey Fashion Cares will once again take over the stunning lobby of the American Cancer Society Center on Monday, August 26, which is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Benefiting the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF) and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Atlanta Affiliate, the 2013 celebration will feature a pre-show cocktail reception, fashion show, silent and live auctions, and an after-party.
“Fall 2013 was one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory! There are a lot of choices for everyone to be able to express their individual style,” says Jeffrey Kalinsky.
Jeffrey Fashion Cares is thrilled to welcome a new Co-Chair for the event’s 21st year, Ken Britt. Joining Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams, Ken is not a newcomer to Atlanta’s philanthropic community, having spent years devoting his energy and resources to a variety of HIV/AIDS, LGBT equality, children’s and political issues in the Atlanta area and beyond. The former Executive Director of Alston & Bird, Ken is also the former Chair of the AID Atlanta Board of Directors, has served as past Co-Chair of the National Board of the Human Rights Campaign and has also devoted his time to the Boards of The Atlanta Opera, the Midtown Alliance, Georgia Equality, the Atlanta Executive Network, among others. Ken is currently the Chair of the AID Atlanta Advisory Board and has received numerous awards for his community service and political activism. With the addition of Ken and his wealth of experience and passion for worthy causes, Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2013 promises to be the best year yet.
“We are thrilled to have Ken on board for this year! He has a long history of community service and we know he’ll be a tremendous asset,” says Lila Hertz.
Jeffrey Fashion Cares will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). Over the past 21 years, Jeffrey Fashion Cares (Atlanta and New York) has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country having raised over $11 million. The highly anticipated runway show will feature selections from Jeffrey’s Fall/Winter Collection including looks from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Erdem, Marni, Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Prada and Alexander Wang.
