Fans at this year’s TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola will have the chance to interact with animals from Georgia Aquarium as part of the tournament’s dedication to expand the entertainment experience for fans. The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola is scheduled to return to historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Sept. 23-27.
Georgia Aquarium’s Interactive Exhibit will be in the SO Cool Zone at the tournament, and is open to all ticket holders to enjoy. Animals that are scheduled to appear, include gators, box turtles, and more. Fans are invited to visit the animals in Georgia Aquarium’s Interactive Exhibit and learn from Aquarium staff about their habitats, conservation status and efforts and plenty of fun facts.
TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola and FedexCup defending champion Billy Horschel made a visit to Georgia Aquarium a few weeks ago to highlight the new cross-promotional relationship between the tournament and the Aquarium. The former Florida Gator who memorably did the Gator chomp on the 18th green after winning last year’s event at East lake Golf Club. Fittingly, pictures were taken of Horschel holding several alligators.
The SO Cool Zone also includes fan-friendly areas and venues such as the Taste of Atlanta food court with local favorites like Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Universal Joint. Any Saturday ticket holders can also enjoy a complimentary Yacht Rock Revue concert presented by Skechers Performance after the event’s third round at approximately 3:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear their college colors on Saturday and enjoy a college football tailgate experience with live TV feeds on the outdoor video boards in the SO Cool Zone to coincide with the concert.

There’s really something to do for everyone.”
The top 30 players in FedExCup points after the BMW Championship qualify for the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola, the finale of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. FedExCup points are reset prior to the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola, ensuring a real shootout as all 30 players in the field will have a mathematical chance of winning the FedExCup with a victory at the event. The TOUR Championship is annually contested at Atlanta’s renowned East Lake Golf Club, the formative home of the legendary Bobby Jones. The 2015 tournament will be played Sept. 23-27. In 2014, the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola made contributions totaling more than $2.2 million to charities and proudly supports the East Lake Foundation and The First Tee. The tournament is the number one annual fundraiser for the East Lake Foundation. Over the times that the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola has been played in Atlanta, the event has raised more the $20 million. In total, since 1997 the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola has generated more than $24 million to charity, both locally and nationwide.
