Wild Nothing announces World Tour and new single

Next week Wild Nothing, a.k.a the now LA-based musician Jake Tatum, will release Life of Pause, his third studio album and much anticipated follow up to 2012’s Nocturne, on Captured Tracks (US) / Bella Union (UK). Over the past few months, in an effort to gradually encapsulate listeners in the album’s depths and complexities, Tatum has shared a series of singles; breezy and dreamy “TV Queen,” jagged, bass-heavy “To Know You,” whcih“sits beneath a spacious amalgam of effects-swirled guitars, electronic squiggles, and gently insistent vocals” [Pitchfork], “shimmery, island-tinged” [Consequence of Sound] “Reichpop,” a cut “reminiscent of Cut Copy, Van She and Goldroom” [Magnetic] and “synth-laden, euphoric title track” [Entertainment Weekly] “Life of Pause.” This afternoon, via Zane Lowe on Beats1, Tatum will release the final pre-release single “Women’s Wisdom,” be sure to tune in.

Next up, Wild Nothing will embark on a world tour that takes him across North America in April and May and continues in June with a short run of dates in the EU, which includes performances at Primavera Barcelona, Primavera Porto, London’s Field Day and The Netherlands Best Kept Secret festivals.
