Grab your fancy hats and head off to the races because Livingston Restaurant + Bar, located at the historic Georgian Terrace Hotel, is hosting their first Kentucky Derby Viewing Party on May 7. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy delicious derby sippers, like classic Mint Juleps, and other specialty cocktails along with delicious appetizers. Place your bets on the big race as you enjoy live music from The Bluegrass Sound Band. There will be various raffles as well as a fancy hat contest (because one must have a fancy hat, it’s the derby!), guests are invited to don their Derby best. There will be multiple televisions available for derby viewing, including outdoor viewing on the Terrace.

Admission is $20 which includes one drink, either a specialty cocktail, beer or wine, and passed appetizers. A portion of the proceeds from the cover will be donated to the Sotherly Foundation, the community outreach arm of Sotherly Hotels which provides significant aid to one or more American veterans living in the communities around its hotels. Instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach, the Sotherly Foundation works directly with the veteran and his or her family to find out what they need most and to determine a strategy for meeting that need in the most lasting and meaningful way possible.

Livingston Restaurant + Bar is located on the ground floor of the Georgian Terrace Hotel, 659 Peachtree Street NE. The Kentucky Derby Viewing Party begins at 2:00 p.m. and winds down after the race. Kentucky Derby post time is 6:34 p.m. If you’re looking for a place to watch the Kentucky Derby in Atlanta, this is the spot! To purchase tickets click here.
