After much anticipation, City Winery Atlanta, Atlanta’s first urban winery, intimate music venue, restaurant, bar, and private event space, is officially open for business. While City Winery has already hosted sold-out shows, both the restaurant and venue are now serving a full dinner menu from Executive Chef Jeffrey McGar and a full bar, which includes a variety of delectable City Winery wines.
This week boasts an exciting line-up of shows including Son Volt’s Jay Farrar on Monday, June 27, The Weepies on Wednesday, June 29, and Nellie McKay on Thursday, June 30. City Winery has scheduled upcoming shows for international touring acts including Macy Gray, The Bacon Brothers, Aaron Neville, and Leon Russell with more announced weekly. “Thank you to the City of Atlanta for your patience,” shared founder and CEO Michael Dorf. “The opening of City Winery Atlanta has been a true labor of love, and I promise that it’s worth the wait. The excitement we’ve seen so far is a testament to the music, wine, and food scene in this city, and we’re glad to be a part!”
Executive Chef Jeffrey McGar has prepared a menu of globally influenced, wine focused, and locally sourced cuisine with Southern flair, featuring concert-friendly small plates and sharable dishes. Menu highlights include seasonally rotating flatbread, the Lamb & Beef Burger, and “Dirty Martini” Dip with vodka whipped goat cheese, pimento stuffed olives, jalapeño, Benton’s bacon, scallions, and “everything” bagel chips.
The cocktail program, run by Beverage Director Mani Gonzalez, will include seasonally inspired cocktails with house made bitters and mixers, craft beers, and, of course, an expertly curated 400+ bottle list featuring City Winery-made wines (also available on tap) and selections from renowned international purveyors. All aspects of food, beverage, and service are overseen by General Manager JC Shurts.
Located in Midtown Atlanta’s newest hotspot, Ponce City Market, City Winery is a 26,000 square foot space with a 125 seat restaurant, a 300 seat concert venue, and a huge outdoor patio. The location pays homage to the working winery within by using deconstructed wine barrel staves throughout, bringing wine country to urban Atlanta.
City Winery is pleased to feature several private and semi-private event spaces throughout to host parties from intimate seated dinners for 15 guests to weddings and buyouts that accommodate up to 900. To book a private event and to learn more, please email Events Director Kara Hayes, firstname.lastname@example.org.
