The Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival returns for its 5th year this October for a fun filled family Sunday complete with dozens of BBQ tastings, kosher vendors, a beer garden, live music and a robust kids area.

The South’s most famous Kosher BBQ Festival is known for its lively kosher BBQ competition where over 20 teams cook through the night vying for grand champion status.  Festival goers are able to taste each team’s culinary creations for a dollar a tasting.

Profits from this year’s festival will be donated to the Helping Feed Atlanta, Jewish Education Loan Fund and Cobb County Police Department. Organizers are also planning a kosher food drive and ask people to bring kosher canned food items.

“This year’s festival is going to be even bigger and better than anything we’ve ever done,” said festival chair Jody Pollack. “Our little Kosher BBQ Competition that started in a parking lot 5 years ago has grown into the premier Kosher BBQ event of the year for the entire Atlanta community.  This is a wonderful opportunity for barbecue enthusiasts to taste many of the best recipes,” Pollack said.
