Thor Ragnarok, the third installment of the Thor films, was good and entertaining. Thor’s Sister Helena (Cate Blanchett, the goddess of death) comes back from banishment to take her rightful place as ruler of Asgard, but it’s up to Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to stop her. Meanwhile, Thor and Loki cast off to Battle Planet and become one of the Grandmaster champions. Thor meets up with his old friend Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and thus has to fight him.
Man, I really enjoyed this movie and I would say the cast did a really good job. I was surprised and died laughing when I saw Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster (dude was freaking hilarious, come on, its Jeff Goldblum). I liked how they captured the friendship between Thor and Hulk. The writers really gave them the comedic traits they deserve and how they really are in the comics. One minute Thor would tell the Hulk that he likes him better than Banner. Banner is weak and he talks about math and science and no one likes that and that Hulk is stronger than he is. But the next, he’ll tell Banner that he likes him and that no one really likes the Hulk because he’s like “ugh Hulk smash” and “he’s stupid” and “he really can’t speak.” In a way, Thor was playing devil’s advocate.

I really like the theme of the movie, it was more like an 80’s type of theme, with the music and everything. For the comic fans, I like what they did with the Hulk. It was more Planet Hulk and Hulk vs. Thor put together. Overall I enjoyed the movie and I give it a 10 out of 10.

p.s.- For the comic books fans, I’ll have more detail and perspective in my upcoming YouTube video 😉
I am definitely watching this. Nice review!
