Music Monday: Sam Valdez, Rebelution, Great Good Fine Ok, Hook N Sling, Fabian Mazur & Party Thieves, and StayLoose

Los Angeles, singer-songwriter, Sam Valdez is thrilled to announce her debut EP, Mirage, to be released on June 29th via Nevado Music. Sam unveiled the music video to her single “Farther Away.” The video was directed by Nick Petty and Seannie Bryan.

Sam Valdez is a fusion of shoe-gaze and vintage Americana indie folk. Embodying the best of both genres, Valdez has created dreamy, yet haunting atmospheric soundscapes that resonate with her listeners. Valdez grew up at the edge of the Nevada desert, in Las Vegas and credits the desert as a major influence in her writing and composing. The vastness and solitude of desert life are apparent throughout her writing, with cinematic resonance and euphoric arrangements.

Rebelution just released “Patience,” the final single from their forthcoming sixth studio album, Free Rein. The sultry slow burner is a reggae-R&B hybrid that eases you into a trance enabled by Eric Rachmany’s distinguished, buttery vocals.

Great Good Fine Ok are preparing to release their new EP in the fall and have released their first single “Change.”

Great Good Fine Ok has already amassed quite the buzz with their signature post-Space Age/retrofuturistic sound. Their previous EPs have been critically praised and their latest single “Find Yourself” has over 30 million Spotify streams.  Additionally, the duo has collaborated with The Chainsmokers, Before You Exit and more. They’ll be at Atlanta’s Masquerade Sunday, June 3.

Hook N Sling just took his Astralwerks hit “Shoot Down The Sun” and infused it with an added house groove for the newly revamped Hooks Club Mix version. The club mix keeps the feel-good vibes high but with an added dose of deep house energy and a pumping bassline, just in time for the weekend.

Fabian Mazur & Party Thieves put the trap beats on overdrive as they make a riveting Dim Mak debut with “Overdose.”

Gaining support from artists such as Martin Garrix, Tiesto, and Afrojack, Fabian Mazur’s recent releases have been pulling in streams from all over the world, including his Luude collaboration “Right Now,” which is nearing 11M Spotify plays and “Sun Goes Down” nearing 4M Spotify plays. His sound is electronic and bouncy with a clear inspiration from hip-hop and R&B that has been supported by a variety of Spotify playlists.

StayLoose teams up with Taheran on Dim Mak single “Hey Mama.” Interweaving a whistling earworm throughout the pop-inspired track, the producer creates a laid-back tune with an inspiring message.

“Hey Mama” follows StayLoose’s recent expressive song “Fight Back,” which RunTheTrap called an “an infectiously vibrant anthem” that “might be his best work yet.” Proudly wearing the term #genrekiller on his sleeve, StayLoose (formerly known as StéLouse) crafts feel-good songs pulling influences from alt-rock and pop to niche future bass electronic sounds.
