German house music pioneer Marten Hørger releases new single “Rave.” It’s a very club-/festival-focused mixture of house and tech-house built on a dynamic groove, which follows Hørger’s recent collaboration with Robin Schulz on “Arizona” and Men Machine, his project with David Guetta. Marten performed at this year’s Parookaville with a line-up that included Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, Fisher, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Boys Noize, Pendulum, and more.
Maren Davidsen is a singer-songwriter from Stavanger, Norway, whose music blends Nordic Americana with country influences, rooted in honest storytelling and an organic, song-led sound. After spending eight years in London, she moved to Oslo in 2023 in search of the space and clarity to write new music. Having picked up the guitar at six years old and grown up listening to artists such as Mark Knopfler, Bruce Springsteen, and Willie Nelson, songwriting has long been part of her life, but it was during her early adult years in London, especially immersed in Mayfair’s party district, that she began pursuing music more seriously.
The Womack Sisters continue the rollout to their debut album, The Womack Sisters (Daptone, coming August 14th) with the sultry “If I Let You,” out today. “Chauffeur” and “You Went Away Too Long” provided early teasers of the album, each an introduction to the Sisters’ style and amazing vocal synchronicity. Later this summer, they embark on The Constellation Tour with Thee Sacred Souls and LA LOM, where fans can hear many of these songs for the first time.
