Atlanta Comic Con will present its first annual show at the Georgia World Congress Center July 13 – 15, 2018.
Proving successful in other states, Imaginarium Agency is excited to bring the love of comic books down to Atlanta. Atlanta Comic Con presents a large exhibit hall featuring celebrity guests, legendary comic book creators, comic books, toys, artwork, apparel, arcade games, and extensive programming. Highlighted features for Atlanta Comic Con consist of the Cosplay Contest and the Film Festival, where local talent have the opportunity to showcase their work.
Celebrity guest highlights include Sean Astin, who portrayed Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Nichelle Nichols, who portrayed Lieutenant Uhura in the original Star Trek. In addition, Matthew Lewis, who portrayed Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, and Lea Thompson who portrayed Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future. Guest creator highlights include Ty Templeton, Bob Camp, Robin Eisenberg, Joe Jusko, Tracey Yardley, and Adam Hughes.

Now me personally, I’m especially excited for Sam… I mean Sean Astin, since everybody knows The Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy ever. Now our Gamer/Con Specialist TBZ would not only disagree but probably troll in response, but that’s what makes ACC is so special: there’s something for everyone. So while I’m trotting down memory lane with Frodo and Co., TBZ can go see one of his favorite Power Rangers Austin St. John, buy some Marvel Comics, and then see Ray Park from his favorite film franchise (he played Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1 Phantom Menace).
Atlanta is quickly becoming the Con Headquarters of the South. We just kicked off the con season officially with MomoCon during Memorial Day Weekend and now we get a new, re-vamped Atlanta Comic Con in July. As far as scheduling is concerned it couldn’t come at a better time. 2018 looks like this: MomoCon – Atlanta Comic Con – Dragon Con – Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA).
We’ll have plenty of highlights and coverage to share with you afterward. You can expect nothing but greatness when TBZ is on the job. As some of you may remember, he had folks abuzz when he asked the VP of Marvel Studios a very important question:
