Music Monday: Regions x YKRA, City on Down, YUMI, SNBRN & Autograf, DUVV, and Palmas

Having previously impressed with remixes for Laidback Luke and Kiiara, 21yr old Moscow-based producer Regions is here with “Losing Desire.” His first track for Hot Source Records, and his first time working with the vocal talents of YKRA.

“Losing Desire” provides anthemic highs courtesy of YKRA’s powerful vocals, while remaining supremely danceable thanks to Region’s undoubtedly mature sound, which runs contrary to his age.

Meet the 4-piece pop/rock band City on Down. Recently, they released their music video to the track, “On The Way.” The band says, “’On My Way” is a song that encapsulates our decision to pursue this musical dream, and truly shows the emotion behind our journey that we hope continues forever.

What started as a leap of faith between two hometown best friends has become this amazing full-time chase that we’re so thankful for every day. The music video takes all the incredible moments from our first ever tour and puts them together to show how much we bonded as a group, and showcases just how much fun we always have on this wild ride called life.

Drawing inspiration from her own experiences as well her friends’, YUMI tackles romance and self-confidence on her Ego Boost EP. The ambitious body of work spans five tightly-knit songs, presenting a melting pot of alternative-R&B, ethereal pop, and indie electronic melodies. With a soaring voice and an inspirational message, YUMI rises to the occasion on a confident debut offering.

A multihyphenate coming from years of modeling and vlogging, YUMI showcases a different side on her first collection of music. Featuring previously released singles “With You With Me” and title track “Ego Boost,” YUMI’s bold songwriting explores complex emotions through unique perspectives.

Both fresh off a summer full of sold-out tour dates, SNBRN & Autograf hunkered down in the studio to prep some heat to keep you warm through Fall.

Best known for his tracks “Raindrops” (25 million Spotify streams) and “Gangsta Walk” (24 million Spotify streams), SNBRN is also a diverse and eclectic remix artist, with an official remix for Bebe Rexha (5m+ Spotify Streams) under his belt.

New York-based Trinidadian-American recording artist DUVV released her new single and music video “Was You”. “Was You” is the first release from her upcoming six-track EP, ACID, which explores the balance between necessity and toxicity and emotion and spirit.

The pop-influenced single discusses the idea of crying in a club setting and explores the notion of meeting your fate on the path taken to avoid it. DUVV’s take on electronic R&B blends the gentleness of ethereal, soulful vocals with the energy of a pulsing club beat.

Psych and soul band, Palmas, are thrilled to share their new song “Where Are You Going?” Hailing from Philadelphia, Palmas have crafted a blend of modern-retro that continues to share and evolve, with influences from Phoenix to The Mamas and Papas, Marvin Gaye to Tame Impala. Following the release off their EP, To The Valley, the five-piece has been writing, developing, and evolving new sings inside their Fishtown Studio.

After supporting the likes of Whitney, Twin Peaks, Vacationer, and others – Palmas is crafting fresh material for their debut album. Expanding on instrumentation, the release of their single “Flowers” set the tone for the band’s future approach as well as doing a Vacationer remix of the track that was recently released. Palmas continues their sonic expansion with new song ”Where Are You Going?” leading to the full-length release coming soon.
