Music Monday: Parish f/t, Reel Big Fish, Shinedown, Big Wild, Georgia Anne Muldrow, and WONDR

Parish f/t is thrilled to release his new single “Control” featuring vocals by Kevin Kelly. Parish f/tIs former Cage the ElephantGuitarist And Now Producer, Lincoln Parish’s Solo Project. Parish f/t was an accident – a musical lab experiment that worked. The project capitalizes on unintended results to great effect, bringing together a roster of featured vocalists where the sum is always greater than the parts.

He is no stranger to following where the music leads him. At age 15 he became the lead guitarist in Cage The Elephant and found himself quickly thrust into the spotlight. Three albums and countless world tours later, Parish felt the urge to follow the music again and quit the band at the top of their game. There was no blow-up, just hunger to evolve. He settled in Nashville where he established himself as a go-to writer and producer for artists including Lucinda Williams, Run River North, The Moxies and more.

Reel Big Fish was one of the legions of Southern California ska-punk bands to edge into the mainstream following the mid-’90s success of No Doubt and Sublime. The band was distinguished by their hyperkinetic stage shows, juvenile humor, ironic covers of new wave pop songs, and metallic shards of ska. The group cultivated an underground following that broke into the mainstream in summer 1997 when their single “Sell Out” became a modern rock radio and MTV favorite.

Their appearance in the movie “Baseketball” as the halftime band also gained them more fans and helped the band’s popularity to grow. Still fronted by original lead singer and songwriter Aaron Barrett, they continue releasing albums and touring relentlessly, playing more and more countries and bigger venues all over the world.

Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown has announced ‘An Evening With Shinedown’ live dates -an intimate, limited run of shows kicking off May 6th in New Orleans. These nine special shows will offer fans an exclusive, up-close-and-personal live experience amidst the 2019 ATTENTION ATTENTION World Tour, which will see Shinedown pack arenas backed by their biggest, most eye-popping production yet.

Shinedown‘s uplifting new anthem “GET UP” has been moving listeners around the globe with its offer of hope, empathy, and encouragement in the face of personal struggles, whatever they may be. Offering a light in a time of darkness is something frontman Brent Smith is deeply connected to after battling his own personal demons, and “GET UP” was born out of watching his friend, Shinedown bassist Eric Bass, deal with clinical depression. When Brent put pen to paper, a beautiful, universal song rooted in Brent and Eric’s raw vulnerability took shape. Atlanta dates are May 7 & 8 @ Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre.

Rising producer and composer, now-turned vocalist, Big Wild has just released a new track from his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Superdream’ (out February 1st, 2019 via Counter Records). The song showcases Big Wild’s (aka Jackson Stell)’s mesmerizing lead vocals and the blissed-out production captivates the listener – making Big Wild an obvious choice for Pandora’s latest batch of Artists To Watch in 2019.”Heaven” is the third release from ‘Superdream’.

This year, Big Wild sold out the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, EDC Las Vegas and made his mark on the main stage at San Diego’s CRSSD Festival.

Addressing “the process of building loving relationships in spite of the malfunctions of Western society”, its the title track from her new album – widely regarded as her finest work to date – released on October 26, 2018, via Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint (a record label deeply embedded in her birthplace Los Angeles, with a ton of shared history, shared beliefs and a united vision of the future).

It was justly acclaimed by Pitchfork (8.0) who paid tribute to her eclecticism, experimentation, and individuality: “The restless avant-garde soul singer is still reinventing rhythm and blues for the future.. the epic scope of Muldrow’s body of work forms the funkiest of odysseys.”
