Atlanta United returns to action Saturday when it hosts Colorado Rapids at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 6 p.m. EST and will be televised on FOX Sports Southeast.

Atlanta is 2-0-0 all-time against Colorado and has outscored the Rapids 4-0 combined in two matches. Atlanta won the first meeting between the teams 1-0 on June 24, 2017, at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Last season, Atlanta won the two club’s only matchup 3-0 on Sept. 15, 2018, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Josef Martinez and Tito Villalba lead Atlanta with one goal each versus Colorado.

Atlanta fell to FC Dallas 2-1 April 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Dallas’ Jesus Ferreira and Bryan Acosta scored goals in the 6th and 84th minutes, both assisted by Michael Barrios. Atlanta recorded a season-high 22 shots but couldn’t find a breakthrough until Josef Martinez scored his second goal of the season on a penalty kick in stoppage time. The Venezuelan striker is now 12-13 from the penalty spot in his MLS career and is currently tied with Alejandro Moreno for the most regular-season goals scored by a Venezuelan player in MLS history with 52.

Colorado will play away for the second straight week after a 4-1 loss at Chicago on April 20. The Rapids have lost their last five matches and are 0-4 this season on the road. Forward Kei Kamara leads Colorado with five goals through eight matches and has scored in four straight games, while Benny Feilhaber has added two goals and a team-high two assists.
