Music Monday: QUIX, Elysian, Unconditional Arms, Kaskade, Ben Wylen, and Carl Brister

Weaving Nevve’s dreamlike vocals through a brooding rollercoaster of tensional builds and wonky trap drops, bass connoisseur QUIX exhilarates on the heart racing single “Gunning For You.”

Along with the help of frequent collaborator Nevve, the late-night party jam sees QUIX pen a heartfelt song about a desperate love obsession, and arrives following a run of NZ/AUS tour dates in support of his 2019 four-track banger EP, IDK [Vol. 1]. “Gunning For You” serves as a taste of QUIX’s next big project, keeping fans on their toes for unexpected sounds.

Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of Elysian. One of the many new acts set to join Anjunabeats as they enter their twentieth year, ‘Moonchild’ sees a new trance power-trio rise.

Ilan Bluestone and Maor Levi are no strangers to collaborating, their résumé includes Anjunafamily favorites ‘Will We Remain?’, ‘Can You’, ’The Distance’ and most recently, a stomping edit of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Keep On Holding’.

Oakland, CA post-rock band Unconditional Arms has released the new album ‘Formation’ via Bay Area indie label Sell The Heart Records – run by Andy Pohl of Tsunami Bomb.

Unconditional Arms is a brainchild of musician Jeff Wright (The American Scene, Compltr). The band also consists of drummer Ross Traver and features musicians Randy Staat, Christopher Sturm, Tyler Thalken, Julie Lydell (who plays piano on “Westbrae Sunrise”), and Scott Goodrich.

Bearing in mind it’s 4th installment of the annual Redux series, Kaskade supplies 4 tracks that make the EP special since it also dropped on the fourth.

Kaskade has 11 studio albums and 7 GRAMMY® nominations under his belt. He’s also the first-ever solo electronic dance artist to sell out both Navy Pier in Chicago and the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Captivating, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Ben Wylen is thrilled to release his brand new single “Lover’s Blues”. This empowering and emotional track showcases Ben’s raw dynamic vocals around a notion about love that people may confront in their everyday life.

Ben says, “One of the concepts about love that has always been the most intriguing to me is the idea that you might hate the person you love and simultaneously desire them. This is the ultimate paradox and one that lies at the heart of this song.”

“Lately the world’s been goin crazy. Hate divides, but love’s the one thing that unifies,” expresses singer/songwriter, Carl Brister, on his socially conscious new single “L.O.V.E. (What The World Needs).” Layered against his signature mix of lush harmonies, warm tones, and high falsetto, L.O.V.E. is a retro soul throwback song with a message that penetrates the soul, touches the heart, and brings people together.
