Music Monday: Illumination Road, Cityzen, Pushing Daizies, The Paranoias, and Hunter Hayes

From the quiet mountains of the California high-desert, this 4-piece assembly of artists are known as Illumination Road. Boasting their own production world on a 140 acre ranch in historic Pioneertown, they present their latest single, “The Modern World.”

Cityzen’s newest release – “Love,” just dropped on CYB3RPVNK. “Love” is a dark and groovy tech-house-infused piece, which is Cityzen’s 13th release on the label and the 1st one this year, after 7-month hiatus.

Pushing Daizies release their remix of Bear Grillz, Adventure Club, & JT Roach’s “Where We Are,” out now on Dim Mak Records. “Where We Are” was the lead single from Bear Grillz’s “Friends: The Album” release from 2020, and the enigmatic US-based duo has just put their signature emotive, melodic future bass style on it.

Self-described as ‘Your Ladies Favorite Band’, The Paranoias have been tearing up the West Coast for a few years now mixing Latin ska fusion, R&B, reggae, soul, jazz, punk and hints of electronic proving they’re one of the most innovative bands in the LA scene right now.

On Saturday March 20th, the band took the stage virtually for a FREE, full-band, multi-camera live-stream from Takeover Live Studios. The set featured songs from their catalog including new songs from their latest split ’Nightmare / Hope To See You Next Year’ out now on all streaming platforms. You can watch their livestream concert HERE.

GRAMMY nominated and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes has unveiled his euphoric new single “If You Change Your Mind” from his upcoming album, Red Sky (Part II). Following the success of his lead single “The One That Got Away,” this contagious, pop-leaning track sees the chart topper continuing to expand his boundaries, exploring new sonic directions.
