Music Monday: Moldy Roses, Peter Lake, CHYL, juuku, and Almero

Orange County, CA pop-punks Moldy Roses have released a new EP titled ‘Friends’ via Wiretap Records. The EP was produced by Kyle McAulay of Spanish Love Songs and mastered by Nick Townsend (Cheap Trick, Weezer, Iron Maiden, Bad Religion, Garbage, Dr. Dre).

New York City-based alternative, multi-media artist Peter Lake announces the release of Blue, his third EP in a musical collection that he began releasing this past summer. Released January 14th, the Blue EP consists of three tracks written by the artist and explores a few of life’s most precious moments. After surpassing over 1.2 million Spotify streams and over a 1.3million YouTube views with his previous Red EP, Lake, known for his unconventional blending of genres, is gearing up to release his strongest project to date.

Electro-house DJ/Producer, CHYL, announces her new single  “B**** Mode,” featuring Georgi. “B**** Mode” opens on a galvanizing rhythm topped by surging colors and a heavy bassline. Georgi’s valley girl-inflected voice imbues the lyrics with stylish femme fatale tones, while the rumbling leitmotifs slide along underneath.”

juuku immediately grabs your attention with his New Noise debut “sunlight.” Dreamy soundscapes collide with a head-rush of electronic synth and bass work as juuku navigates a gratifying journey of harmonic vocal chops and larger-than-life drums. “sunlight” is an infectious song that leaves the listener with a feeling of warmth and positivity.

“Believe” is the most recent release from Almero. The track is the Frenchman’s 10th release on the label and follows his recent single “I Got Some” in collaboration with DØBER. “Believe” is a deep and melodic progressive house single, which is a perfect piece for the lovers of euphonious/cinematic but dancefloor-friendly vibes.
