Music Monday: Central Cee, KURA and Vedenzo, Serial Killaz & Jam Thieves, helloworld & Luma, and Shadow Academy

British drill rapper Central Cee recently released the visual experience to the hit track “Eurovision”. His most recent project 23 just dropped last month and has been making serious noise across Europe but especially in his native England. “Eurovision” features drill rap in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. The release was well-timed as the topic of unification in Europe is a hot topic right now.

This fire track features rappers Rondodasosa, Baby Gang, A2Anti, Morad, Beny Jr, Ashe 22, and Freeze Corleone.

KURA’s brand new single “Thinking About You” is out now on Protocol. The Portuguese producer returns to Nicky Romero’s label with this bold, progressive house, club-ready single in collaboration with Russian newcomer Vedenzo. The new piece is their 3rd cooperation (after “In My House” released on Spinnin’ Records and “Meant To Be” released on HEXAGON).

Fresh from Conrank’s mind-expanding ‘This Simulation’s Breached’ album, we get an absolutely slamming reworking of ‘21 Madness’ by jungle duo Serial Killaz and Brazilian hot property Jam Thieves.

The original jungle remixers, Serial Killaz blazed a trail remixing the likes of Rebel MC / Congo Natty, Wayne Marshall, Damian Marley, and now Ward 21. Jam Thieves has been setting the world on fire with a string of releases on Playaz, Hospital, V Recordings, and countless other big hitters in the drum and bass scene.

Melodic bass upstart helloworld has joined forces with singer-songwriter Luma on the new single ‘afterthought’. Tapping into what is quickly becoming the trademark helloworld sound, ‘afterthought’ combines glistening synths and exhilarating drops with Luma’s pitch-perfect vocals. It marks helloworld’s second release of 2022, following on from the stripped-back version of ‘only way out’, which saw him fearlessly embracing his identity and showcasing it to the world after previously releasing music as a faceless performer.

After many years of collaborating behind the scenes, Jim Roach and Dan Avidan have joined forces to form the rock band Shadow Academy. Their debut single “White Whale” is out now with animated accompaniment below.
