Music Monday: Gabrielle Grace, Monocule x Marcus Santoro x Higher Lane, Nitro Fun & 3DI, Junior Sanchez, and Hunter Daily

Born in small-town, southeast Texas and based in Nashville, Tennessee, Gabrielle Grace is a singer/songwriter whose folk-pop melodies command your attention while her lyrics make you honestly wrestle with a rollercoaster of emotions, but never leave you without at least an ounce of hope.  Grace made her musical debut in 2021 with her 6-song EP, “We’ll be Alright,” which eventually made its way to #16 on iTunes’ singer/songwriter charts.

Check out new music from Nicky Romero’s side project Monocule. Following his “Stargazing” with Leo Stannard from September, he is back with the next deep progressive track, “Only For The Night,” as his first piece in 2023. For this new euphonious vocal single, he teamed up with Australian Marcus Santoro and startup artist duo Higher Lane, who earlier released on Alok’s Controversia.

Experience the thrill of Nitro Fun and 3DI’s new House single, “Find Me.” Filled with ominous vocals, driving basslines, and plenty of ear-pleasing treats, this track will transport you into a world of haunted beats and spine-tingling intensity.

Prolific US producer Junior Sanchez returns to Defected with ‘Hit It’, featuring LA-based artist and recent Moodymann collaborator NEZ. With Sanchez’s music heavily influenced by the underground house scene of NYC that brings together marginalized communities, synthesizing Latin rhythms with heavy four-on-the-floor beats, ‘Hit It’ is a perfect demonstration of this sonic aesthetic.

Hunter Daily released the final video of the Canyon Sessions live performance video series for “Before It Falls Apart”. “We got to shoot this ‘Before It Falls Apart’ live performance in a very special location in Laurel Canyon. Lyrically, this is such a personal and vulnerable song for me, so I loved getting to do a more stripped-down version.”
