Atlanta United today announced it has loaned midfielder Franco Ibarra to Club Atlético Rosario Central of the Argentine Primera Division for the 2024 season. With Rosario, Ibarra is set to feature in the 2024 Copa Libertadores after they qualified for the group stage by winning the Copa de la Liga Profesional title last year.

The 22-year-old midfielder joined Atlanta United before the 2021 season as a U-22 initiative signing. He has played 60 MLS matches in his career, 53 with Atlanta and seven with Toronto FC where he finished the 2023 season on loan. Ibarra has started 40 of his 60 MLS matches in the past three seasons.
