Joanna “JoJo” Levesque’s, “Too Much To Say Tour” hit Atlanta on Sunday, March 23 at Tabernacle. The evening’s opening act Emmy Meli was introduced to a crowded house in the historic downtown Atlanta venue.

The audience, security, and staff all participated in the singing and jamming led by JoJo and her band. After every song, you could hear the audience mutter words like, “amazing” or “incredible”, highlighting her talent and stage presence.

JoJo’s setlists have been praised for including her old and new music, catering to a wide range of fans. She belted her classics from the early 2000s but also sang current chart toppers while introducing us to new titles. The night featured a special guest appearance by five-time Grammy Winner PJ Morton. The duo performed their track, “Say So”.

For some, it might be hard to believe that her popular track “Leave (Get Out)” celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Her breakout hit premiered on her self-titled album back in 2004. While her hits from the past were a nice trip down memory lane, it was her new project, NGL (which she bore on her waist as a belt buckle), that truly impressed.

The eight-track EP truly showed off her skills, as her talent is truly undeniable. Eight tracks, eight wins. The upbeat, body-shaker, “Nobody” is an instant hit, leaving you no choice but to dance. Another bop was the track “Ready To Love”. To boast her range, she covered the popular track “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims which the crowd responded to with raucous applause. Fans of hers across the internet (especially Reddit threads) say it best: She truly does not miss.

At the end of the day, JoJo showed up and showed out. When you attend a concert, you want to leave fulfilled, knowing you got your hard-earned money’s worth. With JoJo, you won’t only leave satisfied, but probably exhausted from dancing the night away. As a seasoned performer, she controlled the crowd but also fed into it, navigating different paths of control with each type of song; mellowing the masses with songs of love but also exploding in energy when the opportunity came. A JoJo show is what a concert should be.

If you get the opportunity to attend her concert you will not be disappointed. Her beautiful voice, energy, and stage presence will leave your jaw dropped and wanting more.
