Utilizing the last FIFA match window before the World Cup, the Road to 26 series of friendlies has added two more matches:

  • Morocco will face Norway in Harrison, New Jersey, as well, on Sunday, June 7th at 3:00 pm (ET)

This addition comes after last week’s exciting announcement of four matches in June, featuring national teams from Egypt, Brazil, Iceland, and others.

Tickets for the Ecuador vs. Saudi Arabia match will go on sale on Tuesday, April 14th at 10:00 am (ET) and are available HERE. Tickets for the Morocco-Norway match will go on sale on Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m. ET. Fans may register for exclusive presale access at RoadTo26.com

Ecuador will enter the tournament having finished in second place in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying behind the reigning champion, Argentina. This will be their fifth appearance on the world stage. As members of Group E, they will face Cote d’Ivoire, Curacao, and Germany. Taking over the reins in 2024, head coach Sebastian Beccacece and young players like Moises Caicedo and Willian Pacho are looking to advance to the knockout stage.

Head Coach Hervé Renard, once again at the helm of Saudi Arabian football, is looking to advance Saudi Arabia to the knockout round for only the second time. In the 2022 World Cup, they defeated the eventual champions Argentina in the group stage in a remarkable upset that stunned the world. Drawn into Group H, the Green Falcons will face Uruguay, Spain, and Cabo Verde.

The June 7th match marks the first meeting between the two nations since a 2-2 draw in the 1998 FIFA World Cup group stage. Norway, led by international superstar Erling Haaland, returns to the World Cup for the first time since that tournament, while Morocco enters on the heels of a dominant qualifying run that saw the side go 8-0 with a +20 goal differential.
