Riverview Landing, an emerging mixed-use community nestled along the Chattahoochee River in Cobb County, just 10 minutes from midtown, announces its third annual Fall Festival to take place on Saturday, October 12. The event will begin at 11 a.m., with renowned local band Yacht Rock Schooner taking the river stage at 6 p.m.
Fall Festival offerings will range from Southern-style food, beverage and homespun treat options, along with live music from local bands, artisan vendors and lots of family friendly activities such as pumpkin decorating, corn mazes, hay slides, hay rides and river activities.
Event entry is free with a suggested donation of $5 benefitting Chattahoochee NOW, Chattahoochee River Keeper and the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Those 21 and older will have the opportunity to purchase a $10 wristband allowing them a classic glass jar mug to refill with beer and take home as a souvenir.
The Fall Festival happenings are as follows:
Daytime Festival: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
· Food from Atlanta Underground Market vendors, as well as classic fall treats such as candy apples and kettle corn
· Local brews from Sweetwater and seasonally inspired cocktails from American Spirit Whiskey
· Live Americana music and banjo beats from Rocket 88, Boohoo Ramblers, Hair of the Dog and Rolling Nowhere on the site’s River Stage. Headliner Yacht Rock Schooner will perform at 6 p.m.
· Artisan market complete with farmer harvests, local artisan crafts and handmade jewelry
· A festive pumpkin patch allowing kids and adults to paint and decorate their own take-home masterpiece
· The largest corn maze you can’t get lost in – perfect for kids
· An enormous, two-ramp hay slide and tractor-pulled hay rides
· Paddle boat access, canoeing instructions, and debut of Riverview Landing’s new dock*
