Director Dean DeBlois returns in 2014 to give us my new favorite Dreamworks picture How to Train Your Dragon 2. I love everything about this film, from the dialogue to the massive variety of dragons delivered for our viewing pleasure 🙂

Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his dragon Toothless can’t get enough adventure in their lives. As they’re flying about, mapping their new discoveries as they fly, they come across a strange new land. Soon joined by their friend Astrid (America Ferrera), they discover an evil that lurks whose interests are trapping dragons and doing the evil deeds of their leader Drago (Djimon Hounsou).

Another cool thing about this film that stands out from everything else that comes out (like Disney/Pixar animated films for example)? In How to Train Your Dragon 2, I counted 1 song. There was one, short, slightly romantic song that was sung by Hiccup’s dad Stoick (Gerard Butler). So parents, if you’re taking kids to see this, it’s very easy to stomach 😉 Based on the flying and battle scenes, this movie looks good for 3D.

This is an amazing film for all to enjoy! It’s interesting, fun, and you won’t have to leave with your kids singing some random songs that they just learned an hour before 😀  9.5 out of 10.
